When planning a trip to Disneyland Paris, one of the most exciting aspects is exploring the variety of dining options available. From themed restaurants to quick bites on the go, there are over 50 dining options across the parks, hotels and the Disney Village, meaning there's something for every taste and budget.

Let's face it, nothing ruins the magic faster than being hangry in a 40 minute queue!

So what suits who and who suits what? Here's the lowdown - from someone who is basically planning their next snack while in queue for the ride.

If You Want a 'Main Character' Meal

If you've got the time and budget, you have to try at least one proper sit-down restaurant. This is where you can really lean into the magic. Below are options I have tried so these are raw, realistic opinions!

1. Bistrot Chez Rémy (Disney Adventure World)

Menu : French-style dishes including steak, fries and ratatouille (obviously).

Theming : Just like the attraction itself, you're shrunk down to Remy's size, sitting among giant cutlery and jam jars. It's definitely one of those 'OMG I am actually eating in Disneyland' moments. Perfect for Remy Lovers!

2. Captain Jack's (Adventureland)

Menu : Caribbean inspired dishes - chicken, fish, rice and tropical flavours RUM-maging through every dish.

Theming : You are literally eating inside the Pirates Of The Caribbean ride. Dim lighting, boats floating past, vibes are immaculate and its kinda iconic. If you and/or your little one enjoys plain food, then maybe sit this one out. Its one of the more flavouring restaurants in the Park. A real piece of Aztec Gold..

3. Auberge de Cendrillion (Fantasyland)

Menu : Fine dining, French Inspired meals with set menus for both Adults and Kids.

Theme : Think fairytale dining to the max. Chandeliers, elegance and princesses walking around greeting all the mini prince and princesses watching in awe. It is pricey, but the memories created here are hard to top, especially if you want that Princess Moment.

4. Plaza Gardens Restaurant (Main Street U.S.A)

Menu : Buffet Style Restaurant - salads, meats, bread, desserts, the list goes on! This is a safe option if you don't wanna think too much. There's loads of choice, (picky eaters I got you), so everyone will find something they like.

Theme : The restaurant itself is has like an old-fashioned garden party vibe but if you book a character dining experience, this is where it hits its peak. You'll usually meet a mix of classic characters, like Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy. Throughout the times we have visited, we have been greeted at our table by Gepetto, Pinnochio, Captain Hook, Smee, Daisy Duck, Tigger and Eyeore. There's always 6 characters and the rotation is pretty well organised. It doesn't feel rushed and the interaction these characters give is well worth every penny. A concrete pick to ensure a stress free, full bellied, enjoyable experience!

5. Walt’s – An American Restaurant (Main Street U.S.A)

Menu : American-inspired dishes with a french touch basically. Steaks, chicken, seasonal options. Again, another set menu option offering three courses. Probably one of the more dearer dining locations but totally worth it.

Theming : This dining experience is definitely one of those 'go on, treat yourself' moments. Walt's is quiet, refined and super nostalgic, basically a love letter to Walt Disney himself. Each room is themed to a different land in the Park, think Frontierland, Fantasyland, Adventureland. Located right on Main Street, it is perfect if you're looking a more upscaled dining experience.

Quick Bites (that won't break the bank)

Yeah I mean, fancy dining and character meets are great, I get it. But the quick, affordable bites which are situated all over the 2 parks are my ultimate go-to everytime. Between rides, before or after parades or just when you get that Gus Gus feeling - below are some of the best locations to pick up something quick to cater for everyone!

1. Bella Notte (Fantasyland)

Menu: Mickey Pizza. You know the ones you see all over social media, the one that make you think 'I want that. I literally need that'. Yes this is one of the famous spots that does the Mickey Pizza. It also does pasta dishes, like lasagne & spaghetti. Salads and garlic bread are available too.

Theme : Super cosy, it's got that Lady and The Tramp vibe. Definitely one of the more affordable filling options at the park and is quite filling. Kids go mad for the iconic mouse shaped pizza which is a bonus because the bribing to get them to eat up won't be as intense as it usually is, trust me.

2. Casey's Corner (Main Street, U.S.A)

Menu : Hot Dogs (hot dog, hot diggity dog), Fries, Chicken Nuggets & Quick Grab and Go snacks and drinks. A real American diner feeling.

Theme : Baseball themed, very accessible on Main Street. Super quick service aswell. Little tip coming up - if you plan to stand back on Main Street during the nighttime show, call in here for a quick bite to stand and watch the great finale! We do it every time we can't get a good spot up near the front.

3. Hyperion Café (Discoveryland)

Menu : Burgers & Fries, Nuggets, Combo Meals.

Theme : Futuristic, HUGE indoor space with big screens. If you need to rest your feet, this is the perfect place to sit, chill, relax and eat. Think fast food but Disney Sized, good portions and tasty bites.

  1. Cowboy Cookout (Frontierland)

Menu : A quick-service BBQ restaurant, so expect simple, filling, meat-heavy options. BBQ Ribs, Angus Burgers and Sausages.

Theme : Overall vibe is like Wild West Barn Dance in the middle of a Family BBQ. Lively, vibey decor and sometimes there is a live country music performance which is a special touch.

  2. Toad Hall Restaurant (Fantasyland)

Menu : Fish & Chips, Chicken Burgers/Nuggets, Sandwiches etc. A safe place if you're looking for comfort food.

Theme : Inspired by The Wind in The Willows and Mr Toad, Toad hall is designed like an English Country House with all the quirks. Featuring self portraits of Toad himself and dark panelling throughout the cuisine, it is one of the most atmospheric places to dine or grab a quick bite.

Dietary Considerations

1. Vegetarian and Vegan Options

Many restaurants at Disneyland Paris offer vegetarian and vegan options. Be sure to ask about these choices when dining, as chefs are often willing to customize dishes to meet dietary preferences.

2. Allergy-Friendly Meals

If your family has food allergies, Disneyland Paris provides allergy-friendly meals upon request. It’s advisable to inform the staff of any allergies when making reservations or ordering food to ensure a safe dining experience.

3. Kids’ Menus

Most restaurants offer kids’ menus featuring smaller portions and child-friendly options. These menus often include favorites like chicken nuggets, pasta, and fruit, making it easier for you to find something your children will enjoy.

So there you have it, just my personal opinion when having to narrow it down. There's loads more places to visit whether you're ready for 3 courses or just craving a sandwich or a mickey shape cookie. Everything tastes better when shaped like Mickey, right? Don't overplan every meal, you can stumble upon somewhere it could be the best meal you have in the Park(s) but it is nice to have a bit of a plan in place and to ensure you're booked in if you really fancy somewhere in particular.

Remember this - Most places require bookings and you can book via the Disneyland App up to 2 months in advance. I highly recommend booking as soon as you can because believe it not, they go fast. If you are looking to book somewhere and there is no availability, keep rechecking prior to and during your visit as some people cancel and you could get a table last minute!

Now repeat with me, 'Disney Calories Don't Count... Disney Calories Don't Count...'
