Halloween at Disney is my FAVOURITE season at Disney. Fun fact: the first time I ever visited Disney, back in 2007, we went during Halloween Season. That was the trip that triggered the real DLP fan in me. The atmosphere, smell and french weather adding that extra hint of autumnal bliss throughout the season. 

 

 

Why Halloween Is One of the Best Times to Visit Disneyland Paris 

If you’re thinking about visiting Disneyland Paris this autumn, Halloween season is an incredible time to go. From colourful pumpkin displays to Disney Villains roaming the park, there’s a completely different atmosphere that you won’t experience at any other time of year.

For 2026, the Halloween celebrations will run from 26th September until 1st November, giving us over a month to enjoy all the spooky fun.

As soon as you walk into Disneyland Park, you’ll notice the seasonal makeover. Main Street, U.S.A. becomes filled with pumpkins, autumn colours, smiling ghosts and Halloween decorations that make every corner feel extra magical. It's probably one of the most decorative seasons Disneyland Paris hosts, in my opinion. The atmosphere is festive and playful rather than scary, making it perfect for families with young children.

Disney Villains Take Centre Stage

One of the biggest draws of Halloween season is the chance to see some of Disney’s most famous villains out and about in the parks.

Characters such as Maleficent, Jafar, The Evil Queen and Captain Hook often make appearances throughout the season, giving us unique photo opportunities that aren’t always available during the rest of the year.

Special Halloween Entertainment

Disneyland Paris usually introduces seasonal entertainment featuring Mickey Mouse and friends dressed in their Halloween outfits which are fab may I add!!

The music, dancing and festive atmosphere create a fun celebration that guests of all ages can enjoy. Be sure to check the Disneyland Paris app during your visit for showtimes and character appearances.

 

 

Rides Feel Even More Atmospheric

While the attractions themselves don’t change, some rides feel particularly fitting during Halloween season.

Phantom Manor is an obvious favourite, but attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain and Tower of Terror seem even more immersive surrounded by the autumn decorations and seasonal atmosphere. It just fits right with Halloween.

Seasonal Food and Merchandise

Halloween brings a selection of limited-edition treats, drinks and souvenirs across the resort.

From villain-inspired snacks to themed cupcakes and exclusive Halloween merchandise, there’s always something new to discover. If you spot something you love, don’t wait too long as popular items can disappear quickly. Plus the pics deffo scream 'I celebrated Halloween in Disney'

Is Halloween Suitable for Young Children?

Definitely. Unlike traditional Halloween events, Disneyland Paris focuses on fun, magic and mischief rather than scares. Most children love the decorations, seasonal music and character interactions.

If you’re hoping for lower crowd levels, consider visiting during late September or the first half of October.

October half-term and Halloween weekend tend to be the busiest periods, so expect longer queues and larger crowds if travelling during those dates.
